Refund Policy

At SafeSwop, we are committed to providing a fair and secure escrow service for both buyers and sellers. Because our role is to hold funds temporarily and release them once both parties are satisfied, our refund policy is specific to the nature of escrow transactions.


When Are Refunds Issued?

Refunds will be issued only under the following conditions:

Buyer Cancels Before Release:
If the buyer cancels the transaction before the item is marked as delivered and the funds are released, they are entitled to a full refund (excluding escrow fees).

Failed Delivery or Non-Performance:
If the seller fails to deliver the item or service as agreed, and the buyer reports the issue within the platform’s dispute period (typically 48 hours), the buyer may be eligible for a refund after review.

Fraud or Misrepresentation:
In cases where fraud, deception, or fake listings are proven, the buyer will be refunded in full.


When Refunds Are Not Issued

Refunds will not be issued under the following circumstances:

The buyer confirms receipt and funds have already been released to the seller.

The buyer delays reporting a dispute after the escrow period has ended.

The dispute lacks sufficient evidence or is clearly in bad faith.

The item received matches the agreed-upon terms, even if the buyer changes their mind.


Fees and Deductions

All SafeSwop fees (flat fee + transaction percentage) are non-refundable once a transaction is completed or funds are released, unless otherwise specified.

In the event of a refund, escrow fees may be retained to cover administrative and banking costs.


Refund Processing Time

Refunds are typically processed within 3–5 business days after approval. Refunds are returned via the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.


Dispute Resolution Process

To request a refund:

Log into your SafeSwop account

Navigate to the transaction in question

Click "Open Dispute" and provide supporting evidence

Our support team will review and respond within 48 hours
