Welcome to SafeSwop, a secure escrow service that helps buyers and sellers safely complete transactions through online marketplaces like Facebook Marketplace.

By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use SafeSwop.


1. Definitions

“SafeSwop” refers to the online escrow platform provided by Tech Chain.

“User” refers to anyone using the platform, whether as a buyer, seller, or visitor.

“Transaction” means a payment and exchange of goods/services between a buyer and seller using SafeSwop.

“Escrow” refers to the secure holding of funds by SafeSwop until transaction conditions are met.


2. Eligibility

To use SafeSwop, you must:

Be 18 years or older

Reside in South Africa

Agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy

Not be involved in illegal or fraudulent activity


3. How It Works

The buyer agrees to a deal with the seller.

Buyer sends payment to SafeSwop’s secure escrow account.

Seller delivers the agreed item/service.

Buyer confirms successful receipt.

SafeSwop releases funds to the seller.

If the buyer fails to confirm within a set period (typically 48 hours), SafeSwop may automatically release the funds, unless a dispute is raised.


4. Prohibited Items & Services

You may not use SafeSwop to trade:

Illegal or stolen goods

Firearms, drugs, or counterfeit items

Adult content or services

Items that violate local laws or Facebook’s policies

SafeSwop reserves the right to suspend or terminate any user violating this clause.


5. Disputes

Disputes must be raised within the platform within 48 hours of delivery. SafeSwop will review supporting evidence from both parties and provide a fair resolution at its discretion. Our decision is final.


6. Fees

SafeSwop charges a transaction fee, which may include:

A flat service fee (e.g. R50)

A percentage fee (e.g. 2.5% of transaction value)

Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.


7. User Responsibilities

All users agree to:

Provide accurate and honest information

Communicate clearly and respectfully

Use the platform only for legitimate transactions

Not misuse or hack the system


8. Limitation of Liability

SafeSwop is a facilitator and does not guarantee the quality, authenticity, or legality of items traded. We are not responsible for any losses arising from user conduct, delivery delays, or misuse of the platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SafeSwop and its operators shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages.


9. Account Suspension or Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account found to be violating these terms, misusing the platform, or engaging in fraudulent behavior.


10. Privacy and Data Use

User data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using SafeSwop, you consent to the collection and use of your information for platform functionality and regulatory compliance.


11. Changes to Terms

SafeSwop may update these terms from time to time. Users will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of the platform implies acceptance of the revised terms.


12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any legal disputes will be handled in South African courts.
